Wednesday

Yay! Halfway through! I love my job, but I am looking forward to a weekend with my husband and kids. Training is going well. My new trainee is picking up on things, he has a positive attitude and he doesn't show much interest in PD Politics--YAY!

Okay, now I have heard it all. Has anyone heard about the contest at Six Flags in Illinois that is offering unlimited line-jumping priveleges to anyone who will eat cockroaches? And these are not your average cockroaches--but those Madagascar Hissing Cockroaches (about 2-3 inches long)! And if that just don't beat all, here comes PETA saying that cockroaches have feelings too. Uh, huh. Wonder if they let cockroaches have free run of their homes, too. Things that make you go hmmmm . . .

It's See You At The Pole Day! My oldest two are going to that this morning. Madeline's all excited. I'm really glad that they do this, but at the same time, I'm saddened that they have to meet outside in a special meeting--and that the meeting is not sponsored by the school. But don't get me started. My soap box about how Christians are not standing up for their rights is WAY tall . . . and I might fall off. But it is something that REALLY bothers me. I just have to take comfort in the fact that most of the teachers at my kids' schools are Christians and trust that my kids are really in God's very capable hands, and that I really really prayed hard for my kids' teachers.

It's gonna be a great day! (right after this cup of coffe!) Have yourself a really nice one! : )

Comments:
SYATP went really well at our school this morning. The kids did such a great job of leading it and I admit I got teary watching those "big, tough" 5th grade boys raise their hands as they were singing! I was really proud of them and they're not even my children!

How did your SYATP go? I went to the neighborhood school this morning--and I was sooo encouraged!

And, I would not eat bugs to jump in line. ever.
