Susie's Steps

Good morning! Hope all are having a good one. What're all of y'all doing for Labor Day today? LOL--I'm actually working, which is kind of appropriate. My DH and babies are home blissfully sleeping in.

We had a nice day Saturday. It was DH's company picnic, and they had fried catfish, shrimp, chicken fingers, and all the trimmings. They also had snowcones, cotton candy, popsicles, ice cream, etc. And there was a blowup waterslide moonwalk, mountain climber, and obstacle course. Naturally, my kids didn't want to go home! Daniel went up and down that waterslide over and over and over, stopping only to grab a plate of fried shrimp and cole slaw. Madeline (ever the prissy one) didn't want to go down the water slide and be messy, so she jumped in the moonwalk all day and climbed the mountain climber all the way to the top twice! Malachi jumped in the moonwalk too, making his momma nervous, because he was so tiny in comparison to the other kids in there. But you know, he's convinced he's as big as they are! When we got home, the kids slept GOOD! LOL.

Yesterday, was not so good. Madeline and I came down with the stomach virus. John took the boys to church while Madeline and I stayed home, only venturing out briefly for some Sprite. But by about 8pm last night, Madeline was getting her spark back, and I was some better. I'm about 75% today. Feeling pretty good, but I turned down the offer for some breakfast from Hardees. : p I might have a sandwich for lunch. Maybe.

Wishing you all a relaxing Labor Day! It's quiet here (shhhhh--don't tell anyone!), and I'm rather enjoying it. : )
