I'm thankful for Thursday, today.
It's been too long since I had more than one day off at a time. I'm a bit tired. And God provided. My kids are out of school tomorrow when I'm off, so we will sleep late! WHOO HOO! And God provided me with kids who know the value of sleep. They usually don't rise earlier than 8:30am. My sister reminded me how much of a blessing this was by pointing out that her child (my favorite niece) hasn't developed a respect for sleep yet and rises at 6:00am. Poor Daze!
I actually had a nice quiet day today. My officers weren't in any danger (except for the danger of eating too much of Mandy's delicious food--LOL), there were no riots, and as of the time I left, no arrests. I kept busy, though. I had a new dispatcher to train. She seemed nice enough, but just not near as boisterous, loud, fun, and smiley as I am. It was a bit dampening to the spirits. Maybe she'll open up as we go along. Sigh. I hope so.
Well, nothing else to write about for now. So sleepy. I'll leave you with the God Promises I've been holding close today. : )
